4pm, every first Sunday of the month
6pm, every third Sunday of the month
Following 10 years of leadership by the Rev’d Dr Irene Ahrens of Berlin, Anglican worship in Dresden is now organised by the Rev’d Ricky Yates, formerly the Chaplain of St. Clement’s Anglican Episcopal Church in Prague, now retired and focused entirely on developing the worshipping community in Dresden.
As we’ve grown as a church family, so too have our families grown! We now have several families with pre-school aged children. In response, starting in 2018 we have begun offering a family Eucharist service once a month specially designed to meet the needs of both our youngest members and their parents. We now celebrate a full Eucharist according to the Church of England’s Common Worship liturgy on the 1st Sunday of the month, starting at 4pm (right between nap time and bedtime!). The service lasts under an hour with interactive elements and music for everyone to enjoy.
We are overjoyed to be guests of the Ecumenical Information Centre next to the Kreuzkirche. Here we have a cosy, safe environment where kids can be kids, as well as a lovely kitchen where we can share a light bring-and-share meal following the service.
This is also an historic development. With the (re-)establishment of Eucharistic worship in Dresden, we are taking the first step toward becoming a recognised parish within the Diocese of Gibraltar in Europe. This is also the first time that an Anglican Eucharist has been held in Dresden since before WWII, at least! For more information on the history of Anglicanism in Dresden, download our brochure.

Please note that dates may diverge from the 3rd Sunday of the month when the Frauenkirche has other events.
(Visit the website of the Frauenkirche for a complete list of its services. )
After every service, we go to the Augustiner for drinks and fellowship. Anyone and everyone, of any age, who would like to join us is very warmly welcome to come along!
